SEEMAB AKBARABADI

Poet Seemab Akbarabadi translated the entire Holy Quran in beautiful Urdu poetry. It was published in one volume in India under title WAHI MANZOOM.

Here are examples of his translation of two suras.
.
SURA DUHA .. 93
.
Naam say Allah kay karta houn aaghaz (e bayan)
Jo badha he rahm wala hai nihayat mehrbaa’n
.
(Ay nabi ham ko) qasam hai dhoop chadtay waqt ki
Aur qasam hai raat ki jis waqt ho chayee huee
.
Tum ko chora hai Khuda nay aur na hai tum say qafa
Aaqirat dunya say behtar hai tumhain (naam e Khuda.)
.
Aagay chal kar Rab tumhhara dayga (itna kuch) tumhain
Tum bhi khush ho jaao gay (dayga na woh kia kuch tumain)
.
Kia nahee’n paya (bhala) tum ko yateem (Allah nay)
Phir jagah di (jad o am kay sayay mayn har taur say)
.
Tum ko jab mutlaashi paya tau dikhaya raasta
Aur paaya tum ko muflis tou ghani bhi kar diya.
.
Pas jo ho koee yateem us par na karna tum jafa
.
Aur jo sael ho jhidhko tum na uss ko (jaanay do)
Aur ehsann apny Rab kay tum bayaan kartay raho.

Note: For some days the process of wahi was suspended. The kafirs claimed this proved the end of the Prophet’s (saw) claim to prophethood. Sura Duha was the resumption of the process, a reaffirmation of prophethood.

.
Naam say Allah kay karta houn aaghaaz (e bayaan)
Jo badha he rahm wala hai nihayat mehrbaa’n
.
Kia nahee’n khola tumhara seena ham nay ay nabi?
Aur tumhara booj tum par say utara (waqayee)
.
Bar say jis kay tumhari tooti jaati thee kamar
Aur tumharay zikr ko dee’n rafataai’n (har zikr par)
.
Saath mushkil kay hai aasaani yaqeenan (ay nabi)
Saath dushwari kay aasaani bhi hai bayshak lagee
.
Jab faraghat ho (tarraddud say) riazat tum karo
Aur (dil say) apnay Rab hee ki taraf raghib rahoo.
.
Here is an English translation.
.
Surah Alam-Nashrah

1. Have We not expanded thee thy breast?
2. And removed from thee thy burden
3. That which did gall thy back?
4. And raised high the esteem (in which) thou (art held)?
5. So, verily, with every difficulty, there is relief:
6. Verily, with every difficulty there is relief.
7. Therefore, when thou art free (from thine immediate task), still labour hard
8. And to thy Lord turn (all) thy attention.

Note: The first line refers to a miraculous incident when, during his early years, angels opened the Prophet’s chest and cleansed his heart of all worldly desires.
