Sahib-e-haal o jamaal wa sahib-e-kamaal hotay hain kuch log,
Rukh ko dayin naya rang aur soch ko naya sanjog,

Batain unki jaysay raat ko heer suney koi,
Ya dekhey sunder birhen jo abhi abhi ho roi,

Soch anokhi, baat niralii, hansi jaal paroti,
Neeley zakhhaar sumander main say niklain jugnoo moti,

Band rawayaat key pinjrey main rehtay hain awaam,
Sada maqsoom hai un ka rehna rasmon ka ghulam,

Milti hai pinjrey say bahir nai dunya ki dhoom,
Us key liyey jo rahber miley to haath layin us key choom,

Yehi hain shan-e paighambri waley sahib-e-haql-o- jamaal,
In sey fun ki dulhan sanwarey, naghma seekhey taal.

DARD DOORI KA

Kis shiddat say chaha tujh ko kis mushkal say khoengay,
Door say tera chehra dekha aaj buhat hum roengay.

Haan rafaqat ki yadon nain dil ko bara sakoon diya,
Kuch yaden hain dundhli si wo ashkon say ab dhoengay.

Soch faraq ki raton ki aur gham tumharey janey ka,
Ro ro key halkaan huay hain kaisay chain say soengay.

Un lamhon ki yaden jo na aaye hen ab aaen gi,
Un khushiyon ki yaden jo na aayi hen ab khoen gay.

Thaan liya hai ab tumhen hum bilkul bhool jayengay,
Lekan sun ley yaad aayi to hichkiyon sey roengay.

Kheti merey dil ki ab viraan parhi hay banjer si,
Aansuon ka witter dey ker hasraten is men boengay.

BARISH

Moonsoon  ki barish jaisay mera tinak mizaj,
Ghun garaj, bijli ki chamak, paani chaajhon chaaj.

Under ek toofan mutlatim, bahir bara sakoon,
Thes zara si, yaad kisi ki, aansoon ka ikhraj.

Pehley charon taraf say nikley kali ghanghoor ghata,
Phir barsay toofan jaisay rukney ka nahin aaj.

Meray dil peh chhaey ik ghambir udas fiza,
Toot key phir bikhroon jaisy sir say gira ho taaj.

Haibatnak sefaid olon ki goonjati hui thanak,
Chikhti changharti tez hawa ka her taraf hay raaj.

Meri zindagi jaisay ho kali aamos ki raat,
Khof, udaasi waswason ka doon koi kharaj,

Phir achanak khamoshi aur dhuley huay darakht,
Thandi naram hua ho bus is kulfat ka ilaaj.

Us ka soch key dil main thandak, chandani or mithaas,
Loon angraai, hans doon jaisay koi kaam na kaaj.

EK MUHABAT KERNEY WALA MUUMMAR JORA

.
Kaisey narm khiyalon waley, dubley, patley or mulayam,
Hath main hath, jur key sath, ek si sochain baham,
.
Savan ki ratain ab nahin aatin, na sangeen din,
Fiker nahin hai rozgaar ki, na musibton ka gham,
.
Maazi yaad suhani, haal bay haal, mustaqbil ek sawaal,
Yaden gum, khawahshain kum, sochain bari mudhham,
.
Kaisi pur sakoon jhalak her sans main hay poshida,
Muskarahat phaila deta hai rahravon ka zer o bum,
.
Dekh kay itminaan unkey chehrey per saya Fagan,
Dil main jag uthta hay ujley geeton ka tarunum,

.

Lambi ek musafat ki hay yaad abhi baaqi,
Soch key saath der talak ka girti hay shabnum,

.

Yeh rasta that barson ka pher manzil aa ponchi,
Ghan garaj badal ki, boondon ki rim jhim,

.

Sath hamara kaisa sath, bey badal yeh sath,
Dar hai ismain ab na aaey koi paich o kham,

.

Kash Khudavand meharbaan ho, bakhshay ek khahish,
Jana jab bhi lazam ho, ikhatey jain hum.

Dear J.

Your selection shows that you are a romantic chemist.

I am warming up to write a “Qaseeda” on you but it may take some time as this is something new for me.

Thanks for your lovely roman translation.

minor typography please
“neeley athaah samunder” (alif they as in thought alif alif hey)
“sahib e haql o jamaaal” not sahin e ..
The nazm is murassa’ muqaffa musajja’
It is brisk and racy
it penetrates into thoughts and a reverie
g r e e t i n g s on a good composition

Errors fixed. Sadraan added.

A thing of beay is a joy for ever.

If one heart is pleased then the worth of the effort is realized.

May we all enjoy the life and its nectar as much as we can in the short time left to us but it is not all that short if you can make the best of it.

God bless you all and also all those who dont want to be blessed.

Rafique Bhai, Its great!
The Punjabi geet is so melodious, so rhythmic that one feels like singing the song. Had been I young, would have well, danced as well.
The other marvelous thing are the Punjabi spellings and phonetics which so appropriately match the Punjabi phonics.
Thanks to you and to Jeddy Bhai for bringing such beautiful work to us.

A melodious composition, adorned with apt metaphors and simili, it is immersed in deep inner emotions and tender thoughts described with a masterly stroke that portrays delicately universal feelings and experience: one feels drenched in the blissful rainy shower and sits in relief having shed the cloudy emotions in a tearful tribute to one’s love.
